Cybersecurity SE work is technically deep, regulated, and well-compensated. The demos are different, the POCs are slower, and the buyer's skepticism is the floor, not the ceiling.

Cybersecurity buyers are professionally skeptical. The job rewards skepticism. SEs in security cannot lean on demo polish or persona-fit narratives. The buyer wants to see the product detect, block, or remediate the threats they care about, and they want proof under conditions they trust.

Demo Expectations

Cybersecurity demos succeed when they show the product against realistic threats in conditions the buyer recognizes. Red-team simulations, attack-pattern replays, and detection walk-throughs are the demo formats that close deals. Generic feature tours fail in this space.

POC Dynamics
